Though greeting cards of the 1920s and 1930s are often erroneously labeled “Deco”, most in reality display Arts and Crafts designs. Many are quite elegantly done. I recently posted a little exhibit of those featuring Christmas ships. There are several other categories often seen . . . stagecoaches, carolers, airplanes, cars and trucks, silhouettes, comic, ethnic, Dickensian Revival and others. I hope to post some of these another time.
Below are some examples of another category of the period, idealized small cottages, usually with an exaggeratedly pointy roof. I find them charming.
